Landscape Photographer of the Year 2011 Winners Announced!!!
I received good news the other day.
My image of Carn Gray in Cornwall has made it into the Take a View Landscape Photographer of the Year 2011 Exhibition and book, and as a bonus it was included in last Sundays 'Spectrum' in the Sunday Times Magazine.
I was up against some great competition this year, looking forward to the exhibition in December.
Check out the winners here: http://www.take-a-view.co.uk/

Grasshopper
This little guy love having his picture taken I had about 5 minutes with him posing on a rock till he decided to go and live his life as a grasshopper intend of a model.
Dolomites, Italy, September 2011
Our holiday this year was in the Dolomites, a place I have always wanted to do to.
For us in Europe, it really is the nearest type of environment we can get to places like Yosemite in the USA, another place in my top 5.
Just remember to bring your camera, you'll need it!!!
Night Sky, Cornwall, England
The visibility of the Milky Way in Cornwall does't usually produce great results for me, partly due to the light pollution and also my bad timing to visit.
But personally this is the best I have seen, when the moon was in the Waxing Crescent Phase. And being brave enough to venture out into a deserted coastal path in the middle of the night. It wasn't the dark that bothered me, but the drunk teenagers on the nearby beach, luckily myself and my camera came away unbothered.

Alps Timelaps (Rough edit.)
Here is a time-lapse from my recent trip to the Alps and Dolomites, all shot in the Alps apart from the final scene which is in the Dolomites.
